Light of the Nations - Guatemala is using soccer to be able to reach the gang and drug influenced boys and girls who live in extreme poverty in Guatemala City.

LON Guatemala brings the gospel of Christ and disciples 180 kids throughout the entire school year with the soccer league they formed in the public schools. This is the only soccer league that exists in the public school system. Using the thing the boys and girls are most passionate about, which is soccer, we are able to open the doors to talk to them about Christ, life and work with them emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually.

Our mission is to develop Christ-like character and to make disciples through participation in Light of the Nations Soccer League. Our mission is to bring light into the darkness that is in Guatemala City, and hope to those children where only desperation and hopelessness exists in their families.

Our vision is to grow a soccer ministry that goes beyond elementary schools into middle schools and high schools and to see the graduates of the program become leaders in ministry.

For these boys and girls to BREAK THE CHAINS of drugs, gangs, violence, and alcohol that is so present in their world and to then turn around and help other boys and girls to break the chains in their lives
and live a life with a purpose.
